How To Make Animal Style Fries
Fries don’t always have to be the regular, straight-cut potatoes. Not only are they the best go-to snack for many, but they also they pair excellently with other meals as a fun add-on. Have some not-so-ordinary fries with these best fries recipes.

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil for frying to 350°F (180°C).

In batches, fry the cut potatoes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a separate pan, cook the sliced onions until caramelized. Set aside.

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper to make the special sauce.

Spread the cooked fries on a baking sheet and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted.

Remove the fries from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish. Top with caramelized onions and drizzle with the special sauce.
